Abiola's Final Will Out:Several Wives, Children Excluded

The final list of beneficiaries of the estate of the late Bashorun M.K.O Abiola has been drawn up and ready for execution, P.M.News has authoritatively gathered.

Shock, however, awaits some wives and several children of the late hero of the 12 June, 1993 presidential polls, as their names were said to have been expunged from the list which will be announced on the late Chief's 71st post-humous birthday on 24 August.

Impeccable sources in the Abiola family revealed that the exclusion of the affected wives and children from the will was because they failed the DNA test conducted in a London hospital, while some of them abstained outrightly from the test as directed by the Czar of the family, Mr. Kolawole Abiola.

It was learnt that immediately the will was released by Abiola's London lawyer, Mr. Timpson Daniel, and handed over to the chambers of the late Chief Rotimi Williams in Nigeria, Kola had insisted that the implementation of the will would be determined by the outcome of the DNA test.

Following the directive, some of the wives went to court to challenge it on behalf of their children, saying Kola had no right to inject a proviso into their late husband and children's father's will.

P.M.News source hintd that the litigations in courts also contributed to the delay in the implementation of the will, before the family now put heads together that it should be implemented now to mark 'Daddy's" (as Abiola was fondly called) 10th year rememberance.

Already, the family is planning big for the late uncrowned president's 10th year rememberance in July and to cap it with the post-humous birthday in August.

P.M.News reliably gathered that the will would be implemented by Kola, Deji, Agboola, Bolaji and Wura, all children of Chief Abiola's first wife, the late Alhaja Simbiat Abiola who are the trustees of the will.

Abiola died in detention on 7 July, 1998 and since then his will has not been executed following controversies over the paternity of some children of the deceased.
